Essential Skills-

Tehnical:

  • Strong fundamentals in Database Design & Development.
  • Good knowledge in MS SQLServer (including SQLServer 2012).
  • Broad knowledge of other RDBMS technologies, particularly MySQL, SQLServer, PostgreSQL. Significant experience of more than one of these.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, Stored Procedure, Triggers, Functions, Views, Indexes, Normalization , Transactions, Distributed Transactions.
  • Knowledge of CDC , SSIS, SSRS is desirable.
  • Should have experience in performance optimization, query tuning and optimization.
  • Ability to design complex technical solutions.
  • Knowledge on working with various environments (DEV, QA, Integration, UAT, Production etc) and knowledge on deployment of database objects.
  • Porting of data from one environment to another.
  • Loading data of various formats from various sources into database.

Others:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Proactive in prioritizing work and balancing work-load across the team.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, and proven ability in producing documentation for a technical audience.
  • Will have to schedule and participate in calls with the client on a periodic basis.
  • Leadership and organizational skills with the ability to provide technical leadership & mentoring.
  • Should be able to arbitrate disagreements among team members and make decisions where needed without damaging relationships.
  • Responsible for code quality and code review, continuously evolving the organization level coding standards and development best practices.
  • Will co-ordinate with Technical Lead/Team Leads of other platforms to continuously revise and monitor the code quality, best practices and SDLC methodologies.
  • The development team would be working during night shift as well as Saturdays. Will have to remote manage the team over the phone in case of urgent situations.
  • Client calls can be expected during the business hours of the client (US EST, CST & PST time zones) and therefore the Lead should be open to taking such calls during this time window.
  • Ability to estimate effort is mandatory.
  • Responsible for all deliverables to the client.
  • Reports to Manager and the client with status reports on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Conducting technical sessions for the appropriate audience

  • A good techno-managerial experience would be ideal.
  • Should be able to handle pressure and should have experience working in a very challenging environment.
  • Experience in conducting technical interviews and recruiting technical resources.
  • The ability to respond accurately to questions relating to policy and practice.
